Simple past tense

[Active voice] S + V2 + O

Contoh kalimat: She sang a song

[Passive voice] S + to be (was/were) + V3 + by + O

Contoh kalimat: A song was sung by her

Past continuous tense

[Active voice] S + to be (was/were) + V1-ing + O

Contoh kalimat: The boy was throwing the stone

[Passive voice] S + to be (was/were) + being + V3 + by + O

Contoh kalimat: The stone was being thrown by the boy

Past perfect tense

[Active voice] S + had + V3 + O

Contoh kalimat: Firefighters had put out the fire

[Passive voice] S + had + been + V3 + by + O

Past perfect continuous tense
