Taylor Swift mendominasi enam nominasi dan berhasil memenangkan tiga kategori, yaitu Song of the Year, Favorite Album, dan Favorite Artist (Adult Contemporary).
Selain Taylor, nama lain yang juga mencuri perhatian adalah One Direction. Boyband asal Inggris yang pernah dilanda perpecahan ini dinobatkan sebagai Artist of the Year dan Favorite Duo or Group Pop/Rock.
Penghargaan ini menjadi bukti bahwa perpisahan dengan Zayn Malik tak lantas membuat One Direction kehilangan semangat dalam menyuguhkan karya terbaik.
