Berbeda dengan pendahulunya, South Park: The Fractured But Whole akan hadir dengan tema superhero dan memiliki jajaran kelas karakter baru. Game ini juga akan memiliki sistem pertempuran yang lebih ke arah action dan real-time, bukan lagi turn-based seperti The Stick of Truth.
