RI Conveys Congratulations on Estonia's Election as UNSC Member

Jakarta: Foreign Minister Marsudi conveyed congratulations on Estonia’s election as non-permanent member of the UN Security Council (UNSC) for 2020-2021 period.
 
Minister Retno held a meeting with her Estonian counterpart Urmas Reinsalu on the sidelines of the 7th UN General Assembly (UNGA) in New York on Tuesday local time. She said that the Indonesian government is ready to cooperate with Estonia as fellow members of UNSC.
 
"Looking forward to work together with Estonia as fellow members of the UNSC," said the Indonesian top diplomat on her official twitter account on Wednesday, September 25, 2019.

Minister Retno previously attended eight bilateral meetings on the first day of the 74th UNGA at the United Nations Headquarters in New York on Monday local time.
 
She held meetings with the Foreign Ministers of Greece, the Republic of Dominica, Ivory Coast, South Sudan, Ethiopia, the UN Secretary Special Envoy to Myanmar, the US Secretary of State's Assistant, and the US Special Envoy to Afghanistan.
 
Those various bilateral meetings highlighted the efforts to improve bilateral relations between the two countries as well as the development of regional and global stability and security concerning both countries.
