Indonesia Encourages Cooperation to Achieve Carbon Neutrality

Beijing: On September 5, Indonesian Ambassador to China Djauhari Oratmangun was one of the speakers in a series of activities "2021 Taihe Civilization Forum (TCF)", which was held by the Taihe Institute in Beijing on September 5-10.
 
TCF is a discussion platform that has been held since 2017 with the aim of encouraging various collaborations to achieve sustainable development and support harmonization in society. 
 
Around 800 experts, business people, government officials and representatives from various Foreign Embassies in China are expected to take part in this online and offline event.

"Ambassador Djauhari delivered a presentation in the Advanced Technology session with the theme The Peaking of Carbon Emissions and Carbon Neutrality and explained the development of the Indonesian government's commitment to achieving Carbon Neutrality by 2060," the Indonesian Embassy in Beijing stated i a press release on Wednesday
 
Indonesia has also committed to reducing emissions in 2030 by 29% with its own efforts or 41% with international support.
 
With the abundance of renewable energy sources in Indonesia and the many potentials for cooperation that can be explored, Ambassador Djauhari underlined the importance of international cooperation, especially by utilizing advanced technology to achieve carbon neutrality.
