Cirebon: The family of Wartono, an Indonesian who fell victim to a bridge collapse incident in Nanfangao, Taiwan, currently awaits the return of his body to their hometown in Cirebon Regency, West Java province.
The incident took place on Tuesday, October 1, 2019 resulting in three Indonesian citizens falling victims, including Wartono, who was making the preparations for fishing on his ship.
"We are just waiting for the arrival of the body and have not thought about other aspects pertaining to this incident," Taman, the victim's brother, said in Cirebon on Monday.
According to the information he had received, his brother's body was scheduled to be flown in on Thursday, October 10, 2019. Taman has kept in contact with his other brothers in Taiwan.
Taman revealed that the company that sent Wartono to do the work in Taiwan has not provided any further information regarding his rights and merely handed over documents to the family.
"No such representative from the company has come here and spoken about my brother's rights," Taman stated while adding that the family is currently in a state of mourning. (Antara)
