Jakarta: Indonesian Foreign Minister Retno Marsudi is scheduled to hold a bilateral meeting with Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif in Jakarta on Monday.
According to the Indonesian Foreign Ministry, the bilateral meeting will discuss various bilateral cooperation, especially in the fields of health, economy, research and technology, covid-19 response as well as post-pandemic economic recovery.
"The Iranian Foreign Minister is also scheduled to pay a courtesy call to the President of the Republic of Indonesia," said the Indonesian Foreign Ministry in a press release on Sunday.
In 2020, Indonesia and Iran commemorated 70 years of diplomatic relations.
The trade between the two countries reached $215 million in 2020, increasing by 525 compared to the previous year.
According to the Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Saeed Khatibzadeh, the Iranian top diplomat traveled from Iran to Indonesia on Sunday.
