Jakarta: The Government of Indonesia has strongly condemned the suicide bombing at a wedding reception in Kabul, Afghanistan last weekend.
The Government and people of Indonesia express deep condolences and sympathy to the victims and their bereaved families. No Indonesian citizens have been confirmed as victims of this bombing attack.
There are 58 Indonesian citizens in Afghanistan. They can contact the Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia in Kabul for more detailed infomation.

From 2006 to 2018, Indonesia has provided capacity building programs in various fields to more than 370 Afghan participants. The cooperation intensity has further strengthened the diplomatic relation of both countries that has run for more than 6 decades.
Earlier this month, Foreign Minister Retno Marsudi officially opened the Mining Training Program participated by 65 selected participants from Afghanistan. During the opemning ceremony of the program, she stressed that Indonesia fully understands the importance of economic development for people's prosperity, in order to ensure sustainable peace.
