Indonesia, Italy Eye Stronger Economic Cooperation

Jakarta: Indonesian Foreign Minister Retno Marsudi held a bilateral meeting with her Italian counterpart Luigi Di Maio on the sidelines of a G20 meeting in Italy on Sunday.
 
According to Indonesia's top diplomat, the two foreign ministers agree to strengthen bilateral cooperation in various sectors.
 
Moreover, the two senior diplomats also exchanged views on Presidency of G20.

Italy serves as the President of G20 this year, while Indonesia will assume the G20 presidency next year.
 
"We are committed to supporting each country's presidency," said Minister Retno in a press statement after the bilateral meeting.
 
"We also agreed to discuss cooperation in trade, investment and vaccine," she stated.
 
In Italy, Minister Retno is scheduled to hold bilateral meetings with foreign ministers from other G20 member countries.
