medcom.id, Damascus: The Indonesian Embassy in Syria repatriated 26 Indonesian workers on Monday, October 3, 2016.
The workers are from West Java, Central Java, East Java and West Nusa Tenggara, according to a press release from the embassy.
The workers left Syria through Damascus International Airport. One embassy official accompanied them during the journey.
The Indonesian Embassy in Syria has repatriated more than 12 thousand workers since 2012.
The Indonesian government has applied moratorium on sending domestic workers to the Middle East countries since 2011.
