Queen of Denmark to Visit Indonesia

medcom.id, Jakarta: Queen of Denmark Margrethe II, and the Consort Prince of Denmark, Henrik, received the invitation of President Joko Widodo, as they will conduct a visit to Indonesia for the first time on October 22, 2015.
 
The royal couple will be accompanied by Danish Minister of Foreign Affairs, Kristian Jensen, and Minister of Energy, Public Services and Climate, Lars Christian Lilleholt. In establishing bilateral relations for 65 years, the visit was mean to to strengthen the friendship between Denmark and Indonesia, in the political, economic and cultural sectors.
 
"Despite having the fourth largest number of citizens in the world, with 250 million people, Indonesia is relatively still a well kept secret. As the world sees the potential of the largest nation in South East Asia, establishing the political and economic relation with Indonesia will be a priority," mentioned the Danish Ambassador to Indonesia, Casper Klynge, during a press briefing at his residence in Pasar Baru, South Jakarta, Tuesday (10/20/2015).

Ambassador Casper said a number of Momerandum of Understandings (MoU) are ready to be signed by Denmark and Indonesia. The first visit of Queen Margrethe II, and the second for Henrik, the Consort Prince of Denmark, will not only be conducted in Jakarta, but also in Surabaya, East Java, and Yogyakarta on October 24.
 
The largest business delegation from Denmark is to follow the royal couple to Indonesia. As many as 62 representatives of Danish companies from various sectors, including maritime, agribusiness, city-solution and renewable energy, as well as design and lifestyle, will also be visiting the archipelago.
 
"Indonesia gave a high impression, as it proceeded in a transition into becoming a democratic country with excellent socio-economic developments. Currently, Indonesia's priority is to maintain the economic growth, as well as to answer the 21st century challenges," said Ambassador Casper. (Nabila Gita)
