medcom.id, Jakarta: The Turkish government has released two female Indonesian students caught in Bursa city early this month.
"They have arrived at Indonesian Guest House in Ankara," said Foreign Minister Retno Marsudi in a short message, Friday (8/26/2016).
Turkish officials didn't find any connections between the two students and prominent Turkish Islamic scholar Fethullah Gulen.
The Turkish government believes Gulen masterminded failed coup attempt in the country last month. He currently lives in an exile in the United States.
The two students are in Turkey after receiving scholarships from Pacific Countries Social and Economic Solidarity Asssociation (PASIAD). The foundation has links to Gulen.
