medcom.id, Jakarta: State Intelligence Agency (BIN) Chief Sutiyoso mentioned that his agency has not received information about the location of four Indonesian sailors kidnapped in Philippine waters this month.
"Not yet. I cannot tell where they are," said Sutiyoso in Presidential Office, Jakarta, Tuesday (4/26/2016).
Sutiyoso added that the kidnappers have not contacted the shipowner or the authority. However, he believes that the sailors are in good condition.
"I believe they will contact us soon or later. They kidnapped them for money," he continued.
Two Indonesian vessel was hijacked on April 15. Six crew managed to escape while the other four were kidnapped by the hijackers.
The Philippine military revealed the hijacking happpened in the operation area of Abu Sayyaf militant group. Last month, the militant group kidnapped 10 Indonesian sailors also in the southern Philippines.
