medcom.id, Jakarta: Several ministers have conducted a meeting to discuss about Indonesian troops in peacekeeping missions.
Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs Wiranto led the meeting at his office in Jakarta on Monday (12/5) morning.
Foreign Minister Retno Marsudi, Defence Minister Ryamizard Ryacudu, National Armed Forces chief General Gatot Nurmantyo and other related officials attended the meeting.
"It is about Indonesian troops in peacekeeping missions," Retno said after the meeting.
She mentioned that the Indonesian government is committed to increase the number of Indonesian personnel in peacekeeping missions.
"We need a roadmap to achieve that," she stated.
Indonesia is one of the largest contributors to peacekeeping missions. There are around 2,800 Indonesian troops in ten peacekeeping missions.
