Global Economy is Still Unpredictable: Jokowi

medcom.id, Jakarta: President Joko Widodo has officially opened the 12th World Islamic Economic Forum (WIEF) in Jakarta.
 
In his welcome speech, Jokowi mentioned that the global economy is still unpredictable. However, Muslim countries have stronger economic fundamentals compared to others.
 
"Muslims have demographic advantage," he said at Jakarta Convention Center, Jakarta, Tuesday (8/2/2016).

"We have the youngest population. Our median age is 30 years old," he continued.
 
Jokowi added the Global Islamic finance is growing rapidly. Islamic fashion industry, halal food industry and Islamic tourism also have great potentials.
 
"I believe this forum will produce good outcomes," he concluded.
 
The forum is attended by several Islamic leaders including Prime Minister of Malaysia Najib Razak and President of Tajikisitan Emomali Rahmon.
