medcom.id, Jakarta: Indonesia's President Joko "Jokowi" Widodo explained the country's counterterrorism policy during the Arab Islamic American Summit in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia on Sunday, May 21, 2017.
"We cooperate with communities, families, ex-terrorists and mass organizations," Jokowi said, as quoted by a press release from the Presidential Press, Media and Information Bureau.
"We also cooperate with the country's two largest Islamic organizations, Nahdlatul Ulama and Muhammadiyah," Jokowi said.
The summit was held on the occasion of the visit of United States President Donald Trump to Saudi Arabia.
The summit was attended by at least 50 Muslim leaders, including Jordan King Abdullah II, Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi and Pakistani Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif.
"Muslim countries are the main victims of conflicts, radicalism threats and terrorism attacks," Jokowi said.
