medcom.id, Jakarta: Thirteen Indonesian police officers in Haiti are safe after Hurricane Matthew hit the Caribbean country.
They are part of the United Nations (UN) mission in the country.
"We succeeded to contact them on Thursday (10/6) afternoon local time," Indonesian Embassy in Havana official Rima Sundusita told Metrotvnews.com on Friday (10/7).
"They are safe and secure. They are at UNPOL office now," she continued.
Hurricane Matthew lashed Haiti earlier this week. It killed at least 339 people in the country.
