medcom.id, Vientiane: President Joko Widodo joined the opening ceremony of the 28th and 29th ASEAN Summits and Related summits in Vientiane, Laos on Tuesday (9/6) afternoon.
According to press release from the Cabinet Secretary, Jokowi and other ASEAN leaders launched Visit ASEAN@50 campaign during the opening ceremony.
Afterward, the ASEAN leaders proceeded to conduct plennary session.
The 28th ASEAN Summit will focus on ASEAN's internal affairs, while the 29th ASEAN Summit will discuss the regional bloc's external affairs.
Jokowi is acccompanied by several ministers in Laos including Coordinating Minster of Political, Legal and Security Affairs Wiranto, Foreign Minister Retno Marsudi and Cabinet Secretary Pramono Anung.
