medcom.id, Jakarta: Foreign Minister Retno Marsudi has confirmed two Indonesian hostage who recently escaped from Abu Sayyaf militants in the souhern Philippines currently are in good condition.
"I talked with Indonesian Ambassador this morning. The Indonesians have arrived in Zamboanga since yesterday. They are in good condition," said Retno, here, Friday (8/19/2016).
"We are still preparing their return," she continued.
Retno cannot determine when the two Indonesians will return to Indonesia. The Foreign Ministry has to coordinate with other agencies such as the National Armed Forces (TNI) and State Intelligence Agency (BIN).
"Coordination under crisis center led by Coordinating Minister of Political, Legal and Security Affairs," she stated.
Two Indonesian hostages named Muhammad Sofyan and Ismail escaped from Philippine militants this week. Local residents found them on the shore of Sulu province.
