medcom.id, Jakarta: Indonesian Permanent Representative to the United Nations (UN) Ambassador Dian Triansyah Djani urged the Security Council to end Israeli occupation in Palestinian territory.
The remark was made during open debate held by the Security Council at UN headquarters, New York, the United States, Monday, April 18.
Ambassador Djani mentioned the outcomes the Extraordinary OIC Summit in Jakarta last month which demanded comprehensive and final solution to end Palestine-Israel conflict.
"The violence suffered by the Palestinians is worrying," said Djani as quoted in press release from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Friday (4/22/2016).
"It reflects deep hostility between Palestinians and Israelis. It will make peace process more difficult," he continued.
He also lamented many UN resolutions regarding Palestine that cannot be implemented. "Many Palestinians killed every day. It cannot be tolerated," he concluded.
