medcom.id, Jakarta: Philippine Ambassador to Indonesia Maria Lumen Isleta refused to reveal the latest situation of 10 Indonesian sailors who are being kidnapped by Abu Sayyaf.
"The effort is still on going. I cannot talk much for now," she said at Indonesian Ministry of Foreign Affairs headquarters, Jakarta, Thursday (4/7/2016).
Indonesian Minister of Foreign Affairs Retno Marsudi also remained silent about the hostage release effort.
Retno previously mentioned that Indonesia and the Philippines has increased cooperation to release the sailors.
"I have increased cooperation with the Philippine government. I have visited the Philippines on April 1-2. I was warmly welcomed by the Philippine president," said Retno in a press statement few days ago.
