Gov't Urges Stability after Maneuvers by Vietnam, China in South China Sea

medcom.id, Jakarta: The Foreign Ministry reiterated its call for peace and stability in the South China Sea in response to latest maneuvers by Vietnam and China in the region.
 
Vietnam recently moved its rocket launcher to South China Sea. Meanwhile, China launched satellite to monitor the region.
 
"I don't know the detail information. However, Indonesia and other ASEAN countries has committed to the peace and stability in the region," said Foreign Ministry spokesperson Arrmanatha Nasir in Jakarta, Thursday (8/11/2016).

"We urge all countries to contribute to the peace and stability n the region," he continued. 
 
The South China Sea is hotly contested by China and four ASEAN countries including Vietnam and the Philippines.
