Indonesia Sends Aid for Rohingya Refugees in Bangladesh

medcom.id, Jakarta: The Indonesian government on Wednesday sent four hercules planes to bring tonnes of aid for Rohingya refugees in the Bangladesh-Myanmar borders. 
 
"There are foods, family kits, water containers, tents, children clothes and blankets," said President Joko "Jokowi" Widodo at Halim Perdanakusuma Airbase in East Jakarta on Wednesday morning.
 
Foreign Minister Retno Marusdi has earlier contacted the Bangladesh government. The top diplomat has carefully gathered the basic needs of the Rohingya refugees.

"These are the most important items," said Jokowi.
 
The aid will be transported by air until Chittagong. The travel will be continued with trucks until Cox's Bazar.
