medcom.id, Jakarta: Vice President Jusuf Kalla will attend the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Summit in Astana, Khazakstan on September 10-11.
The summit will be intended by around 20 world leaders. It will be opened by Kazakhstan President Nursultan Nazarbayev.
The forum will discuss a wide range of issues. It will focus on science, research and education issues.
"Vice President Kalla will deliver a speech about an OIC scholarship program proposal," said Kalla's spokesperson Husain Abdullah in a written statement on Thursday afternoon.
"He will encourage stronger collaborations between Center of Excellences," the spokesperson added.
Kalla will be accompanied by several high ranking officials. He will join a number of bilateral meetings.
