Families of Hostages Visit Foreign Ministry

medcom.id, Jakarta: Families of ten Indonesian sailors held hostage by Philippine militants visited the Ministry of Foreign Affairs this morning.
 
The families received information about the latest development of the rescue operation. They also met with several hostage survivors.
 
"They wanted to get information directly from the government," said the ministry's director of protection of Indonesian citizens and legal entities Lalu Muhamad Iqbal at his office, Jakarta, Monday (8/1/2016).

Ten Indonesian sailors currently held hostage by Abu Sayyaf militants in the southern Phillipines. Seven of them were kidnapped in Sulu waters, Philippines on June 22. Meanwhile, three others were kidnapped in Lahad Datu water, Malaysia few days later.
