Belgian Princess Leads Large Delegation to Indonesia

medcom.id, Jakarta: Princess Astrid from the Kingdom of Belgium leads large economic delegation to Indonesia with more than 300 delegates.
 
Besides cooperation in economic sectors, Princess Astrid also eyes cooperation in technology and culture.
 
"We have opportunity to cooperate in several sectors with Indonesia and strengthen diplomatic relations between the two countries," said Belgian Ambassador to Indonesia Patrick Herman in front of Princess Astrid and the delegates in Jakarta, Monday (3/14/2016).
 
In his speech, Ambassador Patrick congratulated long diplomatic relations between Indonesia and Belgium. "Close relations between Indonesia and Belgium not only in politics but also other sectors like economy," he added.
 
The welcoming ceremony was also attended by Industry Minister Saleh Husin and the Investment Coordinating Board (BKPM) head Franky Sibarani.
 
Relations between Belgium and Indonesia started when Belgium became member of Three nation Commission in 1947. The commission was tasked to solve conflict between Indonesia and the Netherlands after Indonesian independence.
 
Princess Astrid started her seven-day visit to Indonesia on Saturday (3/12). She will visit three cities in Indonesia namely Jakarta, Bogor and Bandung.
