medcom.id, Jakarta: The Indonesian government will join the annual general debate of the United Nations General Assembly in New York, the United States on Tuesday, September 19, 2017.
Indonesian Vice President Jusuf Kalla will meet with other world leaders. He will talk about various important issues, including peace and security, sutainable development, environment and UN reform.
The Indonesian government will address about the Rakine humanitarian crisis with other countries. It will urge all stakeholders to promote peaceful solutions.
"Many countries have proposed bilateral meetings to discuss Indonesia's humanitarian diplomacy efforts," Indonesian Foreign Minister Retno Marsudi said.
Moreover, the Indonesian government will address about the Sustainable development Goals in various forums. It will encourage further collaborations between UN agencies and private institutions.
"We will discuss cooperation opportunities between UN agencies and private institutions," Indonesian Permanent Representative to the United Nations Dian Triansyah Djani said.
