medcom.id, Jakarta: Australian Defence Minister Marise Payne has revealed that Indonesia raised concerns over some teaching materials at an army language training facility in Australia before the country suspended military cooperation with Australia.
"The Australian Army has looked into the serious concerns that were raised," she said in a written statement on Wednesday, January 4, 2017.
"The investigation into the incident is being finalised," she continued.
Previously, Indonesian military spokesman Major General Wuryanto has confirmed that Indonesia severed military ties with Australia due to technical problems.
"Only technical problems," he stated.
Indonesia and Australia have various military cooperation including cadet exchange, military training and joint exercise.
