medcom.id, Jakarta: Indonesia's Foreign Minister Retno Marsudi met with Myanmar's State Counsellor Daw Aung San Suu Kyi in Naypyidaw, Myanmar on Monday, September 4, 2017.

Retno addressed the ongoing violence in the troubled Rakhine State. She proposed the so-called 4+1 formula to the Myanmar government.

"First, restoring peace and stability. Second, exercising self and restraint and avoiding violence. Third, protecting all people in Rakhine State without discriminating against certain ethnics and religions. Fourth, opening humanitarian access," Retno said after the meeting.

"The other element is the implementation of the Kofi Annan-led Rakhine State Advisory Commission's recommendation," Retno said in a written statement.

Retno will meet with Bangladesh Foreign Minister Abul Hassan Mahmood Ali tomorrow. She will discuss about the refugee crisis in the country.
