medcom.id, Jakarta: Indonesia urged the Myanmar government to restore peace after violence escalated between Rohingya people and the Myanmar Army in Rakhine province.
"We closely monitor the situation," said Foreign Ministry spokesman Arrmanatha Nasir in Jakarta on Monday (11/21).
"We hope Myanmar can resolve the situation in Rakhine," he continued.
He mentioned that Indonesia is ready to help Myanmar. Indonesia has strong cooperation with Myanmar in Rakhine.
"We always promote human rights and democratic principles as well as decentralization," he stated.
