medcom.id, Jakarta: Indonesian President Joko Widodo and Sri Lankan President Maithripala Sirisena held a bilateral meeting at Freedom Palace in Jakarta on Wednesday, March 8, 2017.
"Indonesia and Sri Lanka are close friends," the Indonesian president said.
"We are Non-Alligned Movement initiators," he continued.
The two leaders endorsed stronger economic relations. They agreed several economic deals.
The two leaders attended the inaugural the inaugural Indian Ocean Rim Association (IORA) Leaders Summit earlier this week. They agreed the Jakarta Concord, the IORA Action Plan and the Declaration on Preventing and Countering Terrorism and Violent Extremism.
