12000 Officers to Secure IORA Summit

medcom.id, Jakarta: Indonesia will host the first Indian Ocean Rim Association (IORA) summit in Jakarta on March 5-7.
 
The military and the police will secure the international event. They will deploy 12 thousand personnel.
 
"We will secure Ring 1, Ring 2 and Ring 3," Joint Security Command Chief (Pangkogabpam) Lieutenant General Edy Rahmayadi said in Jakarta on Tuesday.

All IORA member countries will join the summit. Several observer countries will also attend the summit.
 
IORA member countries are Indonesia, Australia, Bangladesh, Comoros, India, Iran, Kenya, Madagascar, Malaysia, Mauritius, Mozambique, Oman, Seychelles, Singapore, Somalia, South Africa, Sri Lanka, Tanzania, Thailand, United Arab Emirates and Yemen.
