Indonesia Wants UN Security Council to Attend OIC Summit

medcom.id, Jakarta: United Nations Security Council and the quartet have been invited to Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) extraordinary summit in Jakarta next month.
 
"We hope UNSC may attend the OIC Summit. So they can receive the outcomes directly,"mentioned Foreign Ministry's director general of the multilateral Hasan Kleib, Jakarta, Thursday (2/25/2016).
 
"Invitations have been sent since January 25, including for the Quartet," he continued.
 
Hasan explained the final outcomes will only be signed by OIC member countries. 
 
"The outcomes are not legally binding, so if it is not implemented, there will be no sanction. However, we have to work hard in applying the measures for Palestine and Al Quds in the future," mentioned Hasan.
 
Regarding Israel, Hasan stated Israel is not invited to the summit. "Not really, Israel is not invited. But Israel should be aware of the OIC Summit, as they will witness the strength and unity of OIC member states ," he concluded.
