China Ready to Give USD20 Billion Additional Fund to Indonesia

medcom.id, Jakarta: Chinese President Xi Jinping conveyed readyness from China to increase Bilateral Currency Swap Arrangement given to Indonesia to be around USD20 billions.
 
The statement was given when Jinping met with President Joko Widodo on the sidelines of G-20 Summit in Antalya, Turkey, Sunday, 15 November 15.45 local time or 20.45 Western Indonesia Time.
 
In the occasion, Jokowi also asked support from Jinping so competent Indonesian officials could be employed as top management in Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB). Jokowi also reiterated Indonesia's desire to establish first AIIB regional office in Jakarta.

Meanwhile, regarding global issues, President Jokowi conveyed Indonesia's plan to push global financial architecture reform in G20, which is in line with his statement during Asian African Conference.
 
"This reform is urgently needed to create balance in international financial system between developed countries and devloping countries," said Jokowi as quoted by Presidential Communication Team Ari Dwipayana, as published in Cabinet Secretary Website Monday (11/16/2015). 
 
Presidential Communication Team Ari Dwipayana in his press release said during the meeting both leaders agreed to improve cooperation in economic and finance sectors.
 
Besides that, both leaders also discussed global financial issues which is the main theme of the G20 Summit. "Jokowi welcomes commitment from China to help Indonesia's financial sector through funding for Indonesia's banking industry and liquidity support," said Ari.
