Kidnapped Indonesian Sailors in Good Condition

medcom.id, Jakarta: The indonesian government is still trying to rescue 10 Indonesian sailors currently held by militants in the southern Philippines.
 
Minister of foreign Affairs Retno Marsudi conducted bilateral meeting with her Philippine counterpart on the sidelines of ASEAN ministerial meeting (AMM) in Vientiane, Laos recently.
 
"They discussed about the hostages," said the Ministry of Foreign Affairs spokesperson Arrmanatha Nasir at his office, Jakarta, Thursday (7/28/2016).

Arrmanatha responded to information that Philippine militants have threatened to kill the Indonesian hostages. He ensured all hostages currently are in good condition.
 
"The rescue effort is still on going," he added.
 
Seven Indonesian sailors were kidnapped in the southern Philippines on June 20. Few days later, three Indonesian sailors were kidnapped in Malaysian waters.
