medcom.id, Jakarta: Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas appreciated Indonesia for hosting Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Extraordinary Summit.
"Gratitude for Indonesia for its support and its readiness as host for the fifth OIC extraordinary summit," said President Abbas in his speech, Jakarta, Monday (3/7/2016).
"This issue has reached seven decades. We need international support to face pressure from Israel," he added.
Abbas also thanked all OIC countries for their commitment and support to help Palestine reaching its full independence. "We need resources and economic programs. I hope OIC Secretary General cold develop the implementation," he continued.
The Palestinian President underlined his country maintains the struggle to take back their territory from Israel. "We hope the summit could support Palestinian people and Al-Quds Al-Sharif to get back their rights and freedom," he affirmed.
