medcom.id, Jakarta: Indonesian President Joko "Jokowi" Widodo and Laotian Prime Minister Thongloun Sisoulith discussed a number of regional issues during a bilateral meeting at Bogor Palace in Bogor, West Java on Thursday, October 12, 2017.
"We have agreed to help any peaceful effort to stabilize Myanmar's Rakhine State,"
Jokowi told reporters after the bilateral meeting.
Besides that, the two leaders discussed a number bilateral issues. They addressed security, economic and people-to-people issues.
Moreover, the two governments agreed a number of cooperation agreements. They signed memorandums of understanding (MoUs) on culture, higher education and law enforcement.
"We are thankful for your support for our social and economic development," Sisoulith said.
The 60th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two countries was launched earlier this year. The fifth Indonesia-Laos Joint commission for Billateral Cooperation (JCBC) was held last July.
