medcom.id, Jakarta: For the first time in history, Italian leader is to visit Indonesia since the establishment of bilateral cooperation between both states in 1949.
Italian President Sergio Mattarella is to conduct a state visit to Indonesia on November 8-10, 2015. Mattarella is to meet with President Joko Widodo.
The state visit is intended to increase bilateral cooperation, especially in the economic sector. Mattarella is to be accompanied with 28 Italian businessmen in various sectors.
"Several issues to be discussed are the creative industry, maritime infrastructure, tourism and cultural heritage," said the Spokesperson for the Foreign Ministry, Arrmanatha Nasir, Jakarta, Thursday (11/5/2015).
Aside from the theme mentioned, the discussion can also cover other aspects, which surely produced new cooperations.
There will be the signing of an MoU between Indonesia-Italia, one of them about visa exemption. The exemption can only be applied to the service passport holders.
Mattarella will also visit the Istiqlal Mosque and the Cathedral Church in Jakarta, as both are considered an iconic bhkujbre
