Turkey Demands Indonesia Closes Gulenist Schools in the Country

medcom.id, Jakarta: Turkey has demanded Indonesia to close nine schools which have links with influential Turkish cleric, Fethullah Gulen.
 
The Turkish government believes Gulen masterminded the coup attempt in Turkey this month. The cleric currently lives in exile in Pennsylvania, the United states (US).
 
The nine schools are Pribadi Bilingual Boarding School in Depok, Pribadi Bilingual Boarding School in Bandung, Kharisma Bilingual Boarding School in Semarang, Kesatuan Bangsa Bilingual Boarding School in Yogyakarta, sragen Bilingual Boarding School in sragen, Fatih Boy's School and Fatih Girl's School in Aceh as well as Banua Bilingual Boarding School in South Kalimantan.

"Many countries have closed such schools," stated Turkish Embassy in Jakarta in a written statement received by Metrotvnews.com, Friday (7/29/2016).
 
In addition, Turkey also requested the Indonesian Ministry of Religion to remove Gulen Lectern at the Syarif Hidayatullah state Islamic University.
