medcom.id, Jakarta: Foreign Minister Retno Marsudi has yet to confirm the repatriation of 177 Indonesian Hajj pilgrims in the Philippines.

"We want it to be as soon as possible," said Retno at the Presidential Palace, Jakarta, Monday (8/29/2016).

"However, we should ensure that we have acquired all the necessary information," she continued.

The Indonesian Hajj pilgrims tried to travel to Saudi Arabia with illegal Philippine passports. They were caught by immigration officials at Manila International Airport on August 19.

According to the Indonesian government, the Indonesian Hajj pilgrims were unaware of the violation. The illegal passports were given by their travel agencies.
