Extraordinary OIC Summit to Discuss Six Main Issues

medcom.id, Jakarta: Minister of Foreign Affairs Retno Marsudi mentioned the Extraordinary Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC)  Summit will discuss six main issues. The summit which will be held on March 6-7 will mainly discuss about the issue of Palestine and Al Quds.
 
"There are six unresolved core issues," mentioned Retno in a discussion at the Presidential Staff Office, Jakarta, Wednesday (3/2/2016).
 
Retno explained that the first issue is related to the Palestinian border. Palestinian territory based on 1967 map have been gradually taken by Israel.
 
"It will change the Palestinian territory especially in Jerusalem," she stated.
 
Secondly, OIC countries will discuss about the fate of Palestinian refugees as more than four million Palestinians live overseas. 
 
The summit will also discuss the status of Jerusalem. According to Retno, East Jerusalem is the Palestinian capital. The Israeli occupation  has caused the number of Palestinians in the city decreases to only 36.8 percent. 
 
"Fourth issue is related to illegal settlement. Fifth security, sixth is clean water access," she mentioned.
 
The Extraordinary OIC Summit will be held in Jakarta Convention Centre (JCC), Jakarta on March 6-7. Following the summit n Jakarta, a regular summit will be conducted in Istanbul, Turkey, in April.
