medcom.id, Jakarta: Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte has instructed to repatriate 177 Indonesian Hajj pilgrims in the country.
"I just received the information," said Indonesian Foreign Minister Retno Marsudi at the Parliament Complex, Jakarta, Monday (8/31/2016).
The Indonesian Hajj pilgrims were caught by immigration officials at Manila International Airport on August 19. They tried to travel to Saudi Arabia with illegal Philippine passports.
Previously, Retno stated the Indonesians will return home soon after Philippine authorities acquire all necessary information from them.
According to her, the Indonesians are victims of criminal syndicates.
