Indonesia, Vietnam Agree Stronger Economic Cooperation

medcom.id, Jakarta: Indonesia's President Joko "Jokowi" Widodo received Vietnam's Communist Party secretary general Nguyen Phu Trong at the Freedom Palace on Wednesday, August 23, 2017.
 
The two leaders discussed about three important issues. They talked about the South China Sea conflict.
 
"We discussed about maritime and fishery, trade and investment as well as regional issues," Jokowi said.

"We praised the progress of the Code of Conduct in the South China Sea," he said
 
The two governments signed five memorandums of understanding (MoUs). They agreed closer bilateral economic partnership.
 
"We will formulate necessary measures to maintain rubber and pepper prices," he said.
