Jokowi to Meet World Leaders at WIEF

medcom.id, Jakarta: President Joko Widodo is scheduled to conduct bilateral meetings with several world leaders on the sidelines of the 12th World Islamic Economic Forum (WIEF) in Jakarta next month.
 
"President Joko Widodo will have bilateral meeting with Malaysian Prime Minister Najib Rajak. He will also meet with Sri Lanka, Tajkistan and Jordan leaders," said the Ministry of Foreign Affairs spokesperson Arrmanatha Nasir at his office, Jakarta, Thursday (7/28/2016).
 
"Meanwhile, Minister of Foreign Affairs will have bilateral meetings with Algerian and South African ministers," he continued.

Arrmanatha explained that the event is organized by the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) and the Indonesian government. The forum will highlight the development of small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in Islamic countries.
 
"The main issues are Islamic finance , halal food industry, Islamic fashion industry and Islamic tourism," he elaborated.
 
The forum will be attended by 57 OIC countries. Until now, five OIC leaders has confirmed their attendance.
 
"At least 2,500 people and 110 speakers will participate in the forum," he concluded.
