Indonesia's Focus in APEC and G20

medcom.id, Jakarta: Indonesia is to attend the high level meeting of APEC and G20. The economic issues have become the main topic of the meetings.
 
G20 Summit will commence on November 15-16, 2015, in Turkey. The meeting discussed more of economical issues as Indonesia is represented by President Joko Widodo.
 
"The current theme is 'Insuring Exclusive and Robust Growth Through Collective Action'. There are three main focuses, which are inclusiveness, implementation and investment for growth," mentioned the spokesperson of the Foreign Ministry Arrmanatha Nasir in Garuda Room, Jalan Pejambon, Jakarta, Thursday (11/12/2015).

For Arrmanatha, the G20 meeting will discuss more of the global economy and finance. Therefore, the meeting will also be attended to by the Finance Minister, accompanying President Jokowi.
 
"Three focus which have become Indonesia's interests in the meeting are, among others, related to the efforts of maintaining the stability of global currency. Them the infrastructure finding, as also related to the Base Erosion and Profit Shifting," he continued.
 
Aside from financial issues, also to be discussed are global issues, such as the Climate Change Conference (UNFCC) in Paris, France. During the small meeting such as G20, the head of states or government is to use the opportunity in discussing the topics of UNFCC.
 
Meanwhile on the APEC Meeting in Manila, the Philippines, Indonesia is to be represented by Vice President Jusuf Kalla. In the meeting slated on November 16-19, 2015, Indonesia has several interests.
 
"What has become Indonesia's focus in APEC is related to the development goods, so that the Development Goods become the liberated products. The Development Goods are a form of products having a significant impact in the community," mentioned Arrmanatha.
 
"This is especially to the communities on the farming sector, for example, palm and several other products like rubber," he added.
 
Aside from the issues, what has become another focus is the connectivity. It includes the APEC and domestic connectivity.
