medcom.id, Jakarta: Indonesia's Foreign Ministry on Tuesday urged Gulf countries to prioritize dialogue to resolve diplomatic crisis.
Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Egypt, Yemen and Maldives on Monday severed all ties with Qatar.
"Indonesia reiterates that all countries should respect internationally-recognised principles such as maintaining sovereignty and avoiding interference," Indonesia's Foreign Ministry spokesperson Arrmanatha Nasir said.
Indonesia's Foreign Ministry also urged Gulf countries to increase cooperation to eradicate global terrorism and radicalism.
"Indonesia is closely monitoring the latest situation in the Middle East," the spokesperson said.
Qatar is accused of supporting activities of global terror groups, interfering internal affairs of other Gulf countries and maintaining relations with Iran.
