"The Challenges Forum is a platform for constructive and comprehensive dialogue among stakeholders such as policymakers, practitioners and academics on key issues and developments in the United Nations (UN) peacekeeping operations," said the Foreign Ministry's international security and disarmament director Andy Rachmianto in the ministry's official website on Friday (11/4).
The participants will discuss efforts to strengthen the UN peacekeeping operations. The Foreign Ministry's multilateral affairs director general Hasan Kleib will open the workshop.
"Indonesia is one of the largest contributors in UN peacekeeping operations," he continued.
Indonesia currently has 1,867 peacekeepers. The country wants to have 4,000 peacekeepers by 2019.
