medcom.id, Jakarta: Organization of Islamic Cooperaton (OIC) held senior officials' meeting (SOM) and Council of Foreign Ministers' meeting as a part of OIC Extraordinary Summit on Palestine and Al-Quds Al-Sharif, Sunday (3/6).
Two outcomes prepared for the extraordinary summit namely resolution on Palestine and Jakarta Declaration as support from OIC member countries to Palestine.
"From SOM, the result was broought to ministerial meeting which I led. The two drafts has been approved in the ministerial meeting and will be brought to the summit tomorrow," said Minister of Foreign Affairs Retno Marsudi during press conference on the sidelines of the meetings, Jakarta, Sunday (3/6/2016).
Retno explained all participants in the SOM and ministerial meeting gave full support to Palestine. "The discussion was more about how to strengthen the documents," she continued.
Foreign Ministry's director general of multilateral Hasan Kleib added most participants wanted to strengthen the language in the documents. "It was very clear the friendship and solidarity in the context of support to Palestine," he underlined.
