medcom.id, Jakarta: Coordinating Minister of Politics, Law and Security Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan revealed Indonesia is going to hold trilateral meeting with Malaysia and the Philippines regarding maritime security.
The meeting will discuss several hijackings conducted by Abu Sayyaf militant group in the southern Philippines waters.
"On May 3, Malaysian and Philippine Foreign Ministers will visit Jakarta to meet Foreign Minister Retno," said Luhut to reporters, Depok, Wednesday (4/20/2016).
Besides that, Malaysian and Philippine Navy Chiefs will also visit Indonesia. "They will meet with General Gatot Nurmantyo (Indonesian Armed Forces Chief) to discuss about joint patrol," Luhut continued.
At least 14 Indonesians held as hostages in the Southern Philippines. 10 Indonesian sailors were taken as hostages last month while the other four were kidnapped last week.
