RI to Send Soldiers for UN Missions Next Year

medcom.id, Jakarta: Indonesia will send more soldiers and police officers for United Nations (UN) Peacekeeping missions next year.
 
"We will always continue the activity," Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs Wiranto said on Monday (12/5).
 
"We will send them early next year," he stated.

He mentioned that Indonesia will send one military battalion. The country will also send 140 police officers.
 
Indonesia is one of the largest contributors to UN peacekeeping missions. There are around 2,800 Indonesians in several UN peacekeeping missions.
